*ends sales pitch*
I don’t know about you but I have never really been a fan of chocolate-hazelnut anything.
Nutella…Ferrero Rocher’s…not my thing.
The other day while at the grocery store though, I decided to give these guys a second chance!
Hazelnuts are packed with Vitamin E to help protect skin from aging and radiation they are also rich in manganese, an enzyme activator and a catalyst that synthesizes fatty acids and cholesterol. Most importantly they are a great source of multiple B vitamins like Niacin (B3) and Folic Acid (B9)!
So not only are they yummy, and easy to make they are nutrient dense as well!
You have no excuse to not make these now.
Chocolate Hazelnut Bliss Balls
-12 pitted medjool dates
-1/2 cup of hazelnuts
-1-2 tbsp. carob powder
-1/2 tsp. vanilla
Process nuts and dates in a food processor until they are almost, but not quite a paste. It should still be crumbly. Add the carob and vanilla and process until combines and smooth. Take the dough and roll into balls and store in a cool dry place.
Simplicity. It’s the little things in life! 😉
Have a fruitful day,
